Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor will sit out practice this week. Although he probably would prefer not to sit at all.
Coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Chancellor has a sore backside, although he said it took him some time to figure out that “tailbone” is the right way to phrase that.
“He’s pretty sore today,” Carroll said of Chancellor. “He really is. We should have come up with tailbone. We didn’t come up with tailbone yesterday. That was an easy out for that, zeroing in on the injury. On the play that he knocked the ball down, he landed, in just a flash of an instant, he landed wrong and got bruised pretty good. It’s a bruised tailbone, so now we know.”
Carroll said it’s unlikely Chancellor will be able to go when they return to the practice field on Wednesday.
