The Steelers started Landry Jones at quarterback Sunday, but Jones only made it a few plays before suffering an ankle injury.
That means Ben Roethlisberger, who didn’t start due to a foot injury, is next up at quarterback.
Jones had his ankle rolled up on by either Browns defensive end Desmond Bryant or Steelers tackle Markus Wheaton. Bryant was pushing Wheaton back as Jones stepped up to make a third-down throw.
Jones limped off, then was carted back to the locker room. Roethlisberger started making warmup throws.
The Steelers made Michael Vick inactive for the game, so it’s Roethlisberger and Roethlisberger alone in the quarterback pecking order unless Jones can come back.
The Steelers announced that Jones is questionable to return.
