Mecole Hardman won’t practice on Wednesday with sprained thumb

The Chiefs won’t have one of their receivers when they take the practice field on Wednesday.

Head coach Andy Reid said in his press conference that Mecole Hardman is dealing with a sprained thumb and won’t practice. Reid noted the team is still evaluating the injury.

Hardman has caught eight passes for 41 yards and taken a 3-yard carry since he returned to the Chiefs in late October. He’s also returned seven punts and taken one kick return.

All of Kansas City’s remaining players are expected to practice, though not necessarily in full. The Chiefs will release their first injury report of the week later on Wednesday.
