NBC’s top crew will handle Peacock-only Bills-Chargers game on December 23

NBC’s first-ever Peacock-only game arrives on Saturday, November 23. And NBC has assigned its top broadcasting team to the Bills-Chargers game.

NBC has announced that Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark will handle the game that will be available to home consumers not in L.A. or Buffalo only on the Peacock streaming service.

The Bills-Chargers game begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. Before that, the Steelers host the Bengals on NBC at 4:30 p.m. ET. Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, and Kathryn Tappen will handle that game.

Frankly, the earlier game will likely be far more consequential to the postseason standings than the night game. The decision to assign the top crew to the Peacock game demonstrates the commitment being made by the networks and the league to streaming.

It will be interesting to see whether the same approach is used in January, when NBC has a similar doubleheader, with the first game on the big network and the second one on the streamer.

And, yes, PFT has a relationship with both NBC and Peacock. PFT Live streams exclusively on Peacock, with only clips and not full shows available here and on YouTube.
