We’ve explained in the past that Twitter will be a gold mine once the real games start, since players surely will say plenty of interesting things while experiencing the thrill of victory and/or the agony of defeat.
As it turns out, we didn’t have to wait for September 10.
Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe, roughly an hour after the Bengals bested the Pats by the one point scored by “kicker” Chad Ochocinco, posted the following message on his Twitter page: “We got a win....brady ate dirt...and estaban . . . ochocinco, kicked a perfect field goal, gotta love it.”
The “Brady ate dirt” thing refers to the fact that quarterback Tom Brady, as reported by Tom Curran, took a blow to the chops from Robert Geathers in the first half of Thursday night’s game.
The Pats and Bengals don’t play again this season.
Unless they cross paths in the playoffs.
