Non-Bose headphones not an issue in pre-pregame warmups

Sherman

Cameras have captured several players donning non-Bose headphones on Sunday, a week after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was fined $10,000 for sporting something other than the official deafness-inducing apparatus of the NFL.

As it turns out, players like Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, and even Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won’t be fined for wearing non-Bose equipment prior to the game.

According to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, players may wear other headphones while on the field for stretching or warm ups, before going out with the team for official pregame activities.

For Kaepernick, the problem arose because he wore the non-Bose device during a postgame press conference.
