One of the scariest moments of Sunday’s NFL action came in the Saints-Giants game, when New Orleans cornerback P.J. Williams was knocked unconscious on the field. But it appears to be an incident that will have an OK ending.

Williams has a concussion but is expected to be “fine,” a source told Mike Triplett of ESPN.

In a freakish occurrence, Williams was kneed in the head twice while tackling Giants tight end Larry Donnell. He appeared to be unconscious on the field, and players on both teams were visibly concerned. Medical personnel attended to him for several minutes before he was taken to a hospital.

It is unclear how much time Williams will miss, but it is very good news that less than 24 hours later, it appears that his return to the field is a matter of “when,” not “if.”
