Packers Sunday Minicamp Report

Here’s a look at the Green Bay Packers’ minicamp, in One-Liner style. NG B.J. Raji said he learned a lot from the year of football he missed due to being declared academically ineligible at Boston College. GM Ted Thompson was prepared to draft LB Clay Matthews as high as No. 9 overall if Raji hadn’t been there. Scout Lenny McGill left the Packers to become the Denver Broncos’ assistant director of college scouting. Rookie TE Carson Butler is happy for a fresh start after an up-and-down career at Michigan that included being kicked off the team and later reinstated after being acquitted of assault and battery charges. Veteran S Nick Collins was in Green Bay for the team’s offseason workout program last week despite being displeased with his contract. Packers rookie CB Brandon Underwood learned a tough lesson after having his scholarship revoked at Ohio State.
