Patrick Peterson won the last game between the Cardinals and Rams with a punt return touchdown in overtime.

He’s now turned this one around with another one. Peterson took a punt 80 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to give the Cardinals a 20-10 lead over the Rams. Peterson hasn’t been quite the cover man the Cardinals hoped he would be when they grabbed him with the fifth overall selection, but his punt return skills have made the pick pay off.

Peterson’s touchdown was his fourth of the season on a punt return, tying him for the NFL single season record. Devin Hester, Rick Upchurch and Jack Christiansen have also turned the trick, but Peterson is the only one of the four to go 80 or more yards on each of his returns.
