The Patriots waived a pair of 2013 seventh-round picks on Thursday, parting ways with defensive lineman Michael Buchanan and wide receiver Kevin Dorsey, the club said.
The 24-year-old Buchanan played 18 regular season games for New England over the last two seasons, notching 11 tackles and two sacks. An Illinois product, Buchanan was the No. 226 pick two years ago.
Dorsey, 25, was selected two picks before Buchanan by Green Bay. The Maryland product appeared in three regular season games in 2014 for the Packers, catching one pass. The Patriots signed him in March.
Both players can be claimed by the other 31 teams on Friday. If they go unclaimed, they will become free agents.
