University of Wisconsin running back P.J. Hill is expected to resolve his pending DUI case with a plea bargain next month that will result in a temporary revocation of his driver’s license, according to a league source. The case is expected to be concluded through Hill pleading guilty to refusing to take a Breathalyzer exam, a civil offense, with his other traffic citations to be dismissed by prosecutors, per the source. The NFL draft prospect was arrested last month in Dane County, Wis., for DUI and leading police on a chase, but he wasn’t charged with fleeing an officer. Hill is scheduled for a May 15 pretrial conference, according to court records, for DUI, refusal to take a Breathalyzer, reckless endangerment and driving without proper headlights. Under Wisconsin law, it’s presumed that everyone is aware that they are required to take a Breathalyzer when asked to do so by a law enforcement officer. Hill’s lawyer is expected to attest that Hill, a New York native, was unaware of the law when he refused to take the test. In a separate case, Hill is also facing a DUI charge in Arizona, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Hill is the Badgers’ third all-time leading rusher with 3,942 career yards and 42 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,161 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. In 2006, he led the Big Ten Conference in rushing with 1,569 yards and 15 touchdowns.
