Receiver Plaxico Burress, who agreed last week to a plea bargain that will entail a base sentence of two years in prison for felony weapons charges, will speak to ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap in an interview to be aired Tuesday night on E:60.
Excerpts will air during Monday’s 6:00 p.m. ET SportsCenter -- and presumably thereafter every 15 minutes or so until the show airs on Tuesday night.
Schaap, who typically doesn’t cover football for ESPN, has been involved in some of the network’s reporting regarding the Burress story. For example, Schaap reported on November 30 that Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce was with Burress when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with a loaded and unlicensed weapon at a Manhattan club.
