Reggie Williams’ second chance doesn’t last long

We won’t get a Mike Williams vs. Reggie Williams reclamation project training camp battle after all. Mike won by an early decision Friday.

Reggie Williams was released by the Seahawks so the squad could make room for the announcement of three previously known rookie signings. Reggie played college football at Washington, but the local product apparently didn’t show much in two months on the roster.

This could mean the end of the line for the No. 9 overall pick of the 2004 draft by the Jaguars. Meanwhile, the No. 10 pick of the 2005 draft by the Lions lives to see another day.

Receiver Victor James was also cut by Seattle Friday.
