A New Jersey native is signing on to play for the New York Giants.
The Giants and linebacker Jonathan Casillas have reached a deal, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reported. Via Graziano, ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports Casillas has agreed to a three-year, $10.5 million pact.
The 27-year-old Casillas has had stints with the Saints, Buccaneers and Patriots in his NFL career. He finished 2014 with the Patriots, starting 3-of-8 games and recording 28 tackles.
Casillas (6-1, 227) likely projects to outside linebacker in the Giants’ 4-3 scheme. A University of Wisconsin product, Casillas hails from Jersey City, New Jersey.
