An important passing game target appears set to return to Washington’s lineup on Sunday in Arizona.
Tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been “cleared to play” against the Cardinals, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported this morning.
Reed has been out since Week One with the injury. The second-year pro from Florida showed potential as a rookie, catching 45 passes for 499 yards and three touchdowns.
In Reed’s absence, tight end Niles Paul has played well, which could give Washington (1-4) some real strategic flexibility on offense going forward.
