RG3: I’m committed to sliding, I’ve learned from my mistakes
Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III said after Thursday night’s game that sliding at the end of every run is part of his new approach in Cleveland.
“It’s something that Coach has emphasized to me,” Griffin said. “It’s something I’ve learned over my career just with situations that I’ve been in. I can’t thank everybody who has helped me get to that point where it’s hammered in. I’ve learned my lesson from mistakes in the past.”
Griffin ran the ball three times for 36 yards in addition to completing six of eight passes for 96 yards, with two touchdowns and no turnovers.
“It’s just football. It’s fun,” Griffin said. “I said it last week, just the opportunity to get out there and play with great people and people that you trust and know that everybody has the same goal, and it’s to make this team a consistent winner. It’s just fun to go out there.”
Griffin wants to keep having fun out there, and he can only do that if he can stay healthy.
