The Saints began the process of fixing things after a disappointing season by firing some coaches.
But not the one many were expecting, or even from the side of the ball that needs the most attention.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Saints have parted ways with wide receivers coach Henry Ellard, tight ends coach Terry Malone and assistant defensive backs coach Andre Curtis.
That list, you’ll note, doesn’t include defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, at least at the moment. Whether coach Sean Payton gives the big fella another year (and some actual players) to work with remains to be seen.
