Former NFL receiver Sam Hurd pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell cocaine and marijuana in a federal court today, and as he did so he offered an apology.

I’m sorry for everything I’ve done,” Hurd said, via the Dallas Morning News.

Hurd, who faces significant prison time, also told U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis that he was sorry he waited so long to plead guilty.

“I didn’t mean to make it this drastic and long,” he said.

Hurd will be sentenced in July, and could get 10 years to life.
