There’s good news for the dozens of Jacksonville Jaguars fans who will cheer on their team in today’s big game against the Miami Dolphins: Jaguars receiver Mike Sims-Walker is active.
Sims-Walker’s status is a good example of how teams often don’t decide until the very moment that the list of inactives needs to be turned in which players will be on it. Earlier this morning we noted, via our friend Adam Schefter of ESPN, that Sims-Walker wasn’t expected to play. A couple of weeks ago Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reported that Bengals running back Cedric Benson was expected to play, but when the list of inactives came out, Benson was on it.
Unlike the Jaguars’ list, there were no surprises on the Dolphins’ list of inactives. Cornerback Rashean Mathis and defensive tackle John Henderson are among the Jaguars’ inactives.
