STEELERS-TITANS ONE-LINERS

Titans coach Jeff Fisher said it was the best game of the season, adding, “This was not a statement game by no means. It was a momentum game. We needed to build momentum for the playoffs and the bye week by playing well and winning the game.” The Titans scored 21 points off four Steelers turnovers. Tennessee became the first team all season to gain 300 yards on Pittsburgh. Titans rookie DT Jason Jones had a big game in his second start. Said Steelers LB Larry Foote of the way Tennessee celebrated, “They deserved to celebrate. They whipped us.” Asked if he’d prefer to rest in Week 17, Steelers LB James Harrison said, “It’s really not that meaningful of a game, and the way I’m feeling right now? Yeah.” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin didn’t directly answer when asked about resting his starters on Sunday. Said Titans LB Keith Bulluck,“It was good for us to come out here and flex a little bit, show what this Titans team is all about and what it’s gonna be about when the playoffs start.” Steelers RB Willie Parker had just 29 yards on 18 carries. Titans RB LenDale White had his 15th rushing touchdown.
