Tamba Hali not expected to be traded

The Chiefs wrapped up Week Eight with a blowout over the woeful Lions. The victory moved Kansas City to 3-5, making them very much alive for a wild-card berth in the AFC.

And that makes them highly unlikely to sell off players before Tuesday’s 4:00 p.m. ET deadline.

Per a league source, the Chiefs are not expected to trade linebacker Tamba Hali. The former first-round pick is in the last year of his contract, at a base salary of $1 million.

Hali has started all eight games this season, with 3.5 sacks.

Of course, the Chiefs could change their mind, if they get an offer that blows them away. For now, that’s not expected.
