Terrell Owens waits for post-draft opportunities

Earlier today, a reader suggested that receiver Terrell Owens was spotted in Tampa. If he was there, it wasn’t to sign with the Buccaneers.

We’re told that Owens, who drew early interest during free agency from the Ravens and the Bengals, is hoping for opportunities to arise after next week’s draft.

Owens has twice before been a free agent. In both occasions (2006 and 2009), he signed a contract during the month of March.

He’s most likely to draw interest from teams with needs at receiver that aren’t addressed during the three-day draft, which launches on Thursday. Given the Seahawks’ flirtation with Brandon Marshall, Seattle would seem to be a potential landing spot. Though the amount of gas left in T.O.'s tank isn’t known, he’s surely better than Mike Williams and Reggie Williams, two former flame-outs in the top ten who recently joined the Seahawks.
