Texans cut ties with Adewale Ogunleye

Once one of the dominant pass rushers in the NFL, the career of defensive end Adewale Ogunleye is coming to a conclusion.

As first reported earlier today by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have cut Ogunleye, replacing him with practice-squadder Tim Jamison.

Ogunleye, whose tenure with the Bears expired with his contract in March, was signed after the Texans lost defensive end Connor Barwin for the season in Week One.

Ogunleye appeared in four games, getting one tackle, one assist, and zero sacks.

The 33-year-old spent four seasons with the Dolphins and six with the Bears. He has 67 career sacks.
