The Bengals haven’t made any moves involving their 53-man roster since setting it on Saturday, but they have announced seven additions to their practice squad.
Three of them are members of the 2013 draft class, which means that the Bengals still retain the rights to all of the players they selected in April. Sixth-round wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, seventh-round tackle Reid Fragel and seventh-round center T.J. Johnson all opted to sign up for the Bengals practice squad after clearing waivers on Sunday.
They’ll be joined by running back Daniel Herron, who led the team in rushing in the preseason, and linebacker J.K. Schaffer, who led the defense in tackles. The other two members announced on Sunday were cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, who was on the practice squad last year as well, and cornerback Onterio McCalebb who is moving to defense after playing running back at Auburn.
Cincinnati has one spot left to fill on the practice squad, which may go to a quarterback. Andy Dalton and Josh Johnson are the only quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.
