The Tennessee Titans are a surprising 3-1 after an impressive offensive performance in Cleveland on Sunday, with Matt Hasselbeck continuing to look good, and Chris Johnson having by far his best game of the season.
Although the Titans have lost their top receiver, Kenny Britt, Hasselbeck spread the ball around beautifully on Sunday, hitting six different receivers -- none of whom had more than two catches -- and overall completing 10 of 20 passes for 220 yards, with three touchdowns.
Johnson had 23 carries for 101 yards, or three yards more than he had all season heading into today’s game. Johnson finally looked like he’s getting back in the groove of things after a very shaky start following his lengthy holdout.
For the Browns, Cold McCoy threw a whopping 61 passes, completing 40 of them for 350 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Unfortunately, much of the Browns’ passing yardage came in the fourth quarter, after they had already fallen behind 31-6. McCoy’s late touchdown pass to Ben Watson was essentially meaningless, but the Titans’ 31-13 victory was very meaningful: They look like they’re going to be players in the AFC playoff race.
