URLACHER GETS AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Apart from that season-saving overtime win over the Packers, Monday was a very good day for Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher. Per the Chicago Sun-Times, the mother of Urlacher’s son has been arrested. Police picked up Tyna Robertson, with whom Urlacher has repeatedly clashed as to custody issues regarding their child, at her home on Monday morning -- ten minutes after her water pipes burst. The arrest arose from contempt of court charges, which are related to an $11 million judgment against her for making false accusations of sexual assault against Riverdance star Michael Flatley. She was found to be in contempt for failing to cooperate with requests for information from Flatley’s lawyers regarding her assets, and for failing to attend a court appearance. Cook County Judge Alexander White released Robertson, with an admonition that the time has come to cooperate. Or else. “This is your get out of jail pass,” Judge White said. “If there is no cooperation. . . . We are talking about civil contempt. I will put you in county jail for six months. No questions asked.” Robertson claimed she didn’t receive notice of the court appearance, and that Flatley is using his money (you know, the money she tried to take by claiming that he’d committed sexual assault) to harass her. “I’m in here for documents,” she said. “This is another way to hurt me. Using all his money to hurt me. That’s all this is about. When you have hundreds of millions of dollars you can do anything you want. And that’s exactly what he’s done. They set me up. They blatantly did this. For Flatley to do this after he’s hurt me is a slap in the face. His attorney’s actually have the nerve to file a motion that they never served me on and did this just to hurt me even more. That’s OK. I will be flying to Los Angeles to vacate this judgment and fight this all the way now.” Wow. We just assumed she’d blame it all on Urlacher.
