The Vikings waived wide receiver Lestar Jean with an “injured” designation on Thursday, according to the NFL’s transactions.
The nature of Jean’s injury is not known. If he is not claimed by another club on Friday, he could revert to injured reserve or be released with an injury settlement.
The 26-year-old Jean signed with the Vikings in April. He has played in 27 regular season games, all with Houston (2012-2013), catching 10 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown.
The Vikings now have 89 active players, one short of the 90-player limit. They have 10 wide receivers.
