Oh, by the way: There’s a football game tonight.

The terrific Jets-Patriots matchup is a fitting capper to the first week of games in December. Windy conditions will be a big factor tonight with the wind chill in the mid-teens. Winds will be gusting 16-24 miles per hour.

Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Globe reports Patriots kicker Shayne Graham struggled to make 30-40 yard-field goals when he was kicking into the wind. He made a 49-yard boot with room to spare with the wind at his back. Kickoffs should also be a problem.

For the Jets, right tackle Damien Woody is starting, as expected. The Patriots will be without interior rushers Mike Wright and Myron Pryor, who were listed as questionable.
