Video: Blackhawks fans celebrate in Chicago
There was a little rowdiness, but nothing too serious, last night in Chicago after the Blackhawks won their second Stanley Cup in four years.
From the Sun-Times:
Police in riot gear marched on the intersection of Addison and Southport about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday after a raucous crowd celebrating the Blackhawks Stanley Cup victory started throwing glass bottles at police vehicles.
The rowdy scene was one of the last stands staged by revelers who descended on the Wrigleyville neighborhood after the Hawks victory, which was sealed in the final minutes of the third period.
Twenty-three were reportedly arrested for reckless conduct, disorderly conduct and battery; however, “crowds remained mostly peaceful,” according to a police spokesman.
