The Finnish men’s ice hockey teams are taking bikes they were given to get around Sochi and are doing something much better with them. They’re autographing them and auctioning them off for charity, according to Elite Prospect’s Matias Strozyk.

Not surprisingly, six-time Olympian Teemu Selanne’s bicycle is the most-sought one so far:
Selänne bike at 1500€ with two weeks of bidding left. Will get interesting.

He isn’t the only one putting his bicycle up for bidding, however, as Aleksander Barkov, Mikael Granlund, Olli Jokinen and Kari Lehtonen also rank among those who are auctioning off those bicycles for charity:
Update on that Finnish auction: two hours in, Selänne is at 600€, Barkov at 400€. Lehtonen, Granlund, Olli Jokinen also at 300+ already.

Just imagine how much higher those numbers might climb if the Finnish team can upset Russia in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday ...
