Shannon Szabados will debut for the men’s pro team Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League on Saturday, according to the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger Enqurier.

The Cottonmouths play the Knoxville Ice Bears in Columbus, Ga., at 7:35 p.m.

Szabados, the Canadian goalie in the last two Olympic gold-medal game victories, is one of few women to play men’s professional hockey.

She practiced with the Edmonton Oilers last week and signed with the Cottonmouths two days later for the remainder of the season.
