Two days after giving the U.S. its first-ever singles luge medal in the Olympics, Erin Hamlin (pictured) will take part in this morning’s Olympic debut of the luge team relay.

You can watch it starting at 11:15 a.m. ET on NBCOlympics.com.

The relay begins with a woman going down the track and then hitting a touch-pad at the finish line to open the start gate for a men’s luger, who will then make his own run and hit the pad to begin the final leg for the doubles team.

Timing is continuous, with the lowest combined time between all three sleds determining the Olympic podium.

Joining Hamlin for Team USA are men’s luger Chris Mazdzer and the doubles team of Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman.

They, along with the rest of the field will likely be chasing the Germans, who have claimed gold in all the individual events in Sochi.
