Julia Mancuso’s bronze medal in super combined looks better and better with each passing day, but she still has a chance to tie Bode Miller’s U.S. Alpine skiing record with her fifth medal by getting in the podium at the super-G today. The live stream begins at 2 a.m ET:

“Super Jules” might be most impressive in this event, even if none of her four Olympic medals come from this discipline. It may be fitting that arguably her best chance to bring in one more big run comes in the event that has eluded her at this level.

Even a strong performance might not be enough, however, as she faces a stout field of high-level competitors. Switzerland’s Lara Gut, Germany’s Maria Hoefl-Riesch, Slovenia’s Tina Maze, Switzerland Dominique Gisin and Liechtenstein’s Tina Weirather are all credible threats for medals.

Weirather should be intriguing to watch because she’s just now coming back from injury.
