Jamaican bobsledder Winston Watts part of The Rock’s HBO series

Winston Watts, who gained fame by bobsledding in his fourth Olympics for Jamaica in Sochi, will film a scene for Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson‘s HBO series “Ballers,” according to the Miami Herald.

The series chronicles stories of former and current football players, according to the newspaper. Johnson played football at the University of Miami. Watts, a 47-year-old who made his Olympic debut at Lillehammer 1994, does not have a football background.

“I’m hoping in the future that I get more movie scenes,” Watts said, according to the newspaper. “I will dedicate myself to do a lot more movies. It doesn’t matter what movie it is. I’m a very flexible person.”

In Sochi, Watts drove the Jamaican two-man sled to 29th place in a field of 29 finishers. Watts said last fall that he was no longer part of the Jamaican bobsled program but hadn’t officially retired.
