STAMFORD, Conn. – June 28, 2023 – NBC Sports presents live coverage of two star-studded track & field meets this week, starting with the Diamond League’s sixth event of the season in Lausanne, Switzerland, this Friday at 2 p.m. ET on Peacock, followed by the seventh stop on the Diamond League calendar in Stockholm, Sweden, this Sunday at Noon ET on Peacock and CNBC.

LAUSANNE DIAMOND LEAGUE – FRIDAY, JUNE 30

Two-time Olympic shot put champion and world record holder Ryan Crouser is expected to compete against two-time Olympic bronze medalist Tom Walsh (New Zealand) on Friday. Crouser broke his own outdoor world record in May at the Los Angeles Grand Prix when he threw 23.56m; he is the only man in history who has thrown further than 23.5m. Reigning Olympic and world pole vault champion Katie Moon of the United States is also expected to compete.

Many international stars are expected to toe the line on Friday, headlined by Tokyo Olympic 1500m champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen (Norway), who broke the two-mile world record at the Paris Diamond League and followed it up with a world-leading 3:27.95 in the 1500m at the Oslo Diamond League earlier this month. Six-time Olympic medalist Andre De Grasse (Canada), Tokyo Olympic 400m hurdles bronze medalist Femke Bol (Netherlands), reigning world 100m hurdles champion Tobi Amusan (Nigeria), and Tokyo Olympic 5000m champion and 5000m/10,000m world record holder Joshua Cheptegei (Uganda) are also expected to race.

NBC Sports’ Paul Swangard will call the event, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon, two-time Olympian Kara Goucher, and 2012 London Olympic decathlon silver medalist Trey Hardee.

STOCKHOLM DIAMOND LEAGUE – SUNDAY, JULY 2

The Diamond League travels to Stockholm this Sunday, where an elite crew of Olympians and global medalists are set to compete. Reigning Olympic and world pole vault champion Mondo Duplantis (Sweden), who owns both indoor and outdoor pole vault world records, will compete in front of his home crowd as he prepares to defend his world title in August.

Reigning Olympic 400m hurdles champion and world record holder Karsten Warholm (Norway), who ran a world-leading 46.52 at the Oslo Diamond League meet earlier this month, as well as Rio Olympic 400m champion and world record holder Wayde van Niekerk (South Africa), who ran a 44.38 in his first Diamond League competition of the season in Oslo, are both looking to build on strong early season performances.

Tokyo Olympic discus champion Valarie Allman of the United States, reigning Olympic and world steeplechase champion Soufiane El Bakkali (Morocco), reigning 10,000m world champion Letesenbet Gidey (Ethiopia), and reigning Olympic and world 800m champion Emmanuel Korir (Kenya) are all expected to line up on Sunday. Amusan and De Grasse will both make the trip from Lausanne to Stockholm for their second competition of the week.

Swangard will call the event alongside Boldon.
