STAMFORD, Conn. – June 26, 2020 – Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present 14 consecutive days of 2019 World Para Championships, starting on Monday, June 29, as part of 2019 World Championships Week. The opening week will feature 25 hours of 2019 World Para Swimming Championships programming from London, England. 13-time Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long, three-time Paralympic gold medalist Becca Meyers and three-time Paralympic gold medalist McKenzie Coan highlight the competition.
Ukraine finished atop the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships medal table, totaling 55 medals. Team USA collected 35 medals at the competition -- 14 gold, 16 silver, and five bronze medals.
NBC Sports’ Jimmy Roberts will introduce each night of the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships.
Beginning on Monday, July 6, the 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships will be featured as part of 2019 World Championships Week on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. More than 20 hours of 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships programming from Dubai, United Arab Emirates will be presented. Two-time Paralympic gold medalist Roderick Townsend, two-time Paralympic gold medalist Deja Young and seven-time Paralympic medalist Amanda McGrory will spotlight the competition.

MONDAY, JUNE 29: DAY 1 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The opening day of the Championships was headlined by two athletes that own more than 20 Paralympic medals: American Jessica Long (23 medals) and Daniel Dias of Brazil (24 medals). Six-time Paralympic medalist Becca Meyers of the U.S. set a world record in the women’s 400m freestyle S13. In addition, Americans Mallory Weggemann and Julia Gaffney finished first and second in the women’s 50m butterfly S7.
TUESDAY, JUNE 30: DAY 2 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The U.S. won five medals on the second day of the Championships, bringing the team’s total to 10. Three-time Paralympic gold medalist McKenzie Coan and Paralympic bronze medalist Robert Griswold both defended their 2017 world titles, in the women’s 400m freestyle S7 and men’s 100m backstroke S8, respectively.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 1: DAY 3 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Day 3 in London featured the first career World Championship medal for American Leanne Smith, who won gold in the women’s 150m individual medley SM4.
THURSDAY, JULY 2: DAY 4 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Elizabeth Marks won her first-ever world title, when she earned gold in the women’s 100m backstroke S7. On the men’s side, Robert Griswold won his third medal in as many days, with a second-place finish in the men’s 400m freestyle S8.
FRIDAY, JULY 3: DAY 5 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
On the fifth day of competition, the U.S. women won six medals in a memorable performance. Becca Meyers set her second world record at the Championships racing in the women’s 200m individual medley SM13 (the record was for the SM12 class) and earned another medal in the women’s 100m freestyle S12, all within a 20-minute span.
Alice Tai, of host nation Great Britain, won her fifth individual gold medal of the event, en route to winning seven golds over the course of the Championships which led the women’s individual medal chart.
SATURDAY, JULY 4: DAY 6 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Six world records were set on the penultimate day of competition and the U.S. won two gold medals. One of the world titles was won by Robert Griswold in the men’s 200m individual medley SM8. Following the win Griswold was disqualified, but upon a successful protest by Team USA, his victory was reinstated.
SUNDAY, JULY 5: DAY 7 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Team USA earned six medals on the final day of the Championships, including two gold medals by Leanne Smith, to bring the total American medal count to 35. Ihar Boki of Belarus won a gold medal to bring his individual gold medal total to 6, which topped the men’s gold medal count throughout the competition.
