Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic and the Washington Wizards have announced the team’s 85-game regional television schedule for the 2014-15 NBA season. The network’s live coverage will include 81 regular-season games, four preseason games and comprehensive pre- and post-game shows.
Comcast SportsNet’s live coverage of the 2014-15 Wizards will begin with their preseason opener at Chicago on Oct. 6 (8 p.m.) The network’s four-game exhibition schedule will conclude with the second annual Baltimore Classic against New Orleans on Oct. 20 (7 p.m.) Comcast SportsNet’s regular-season schedule will start with the Wizards’ season opener Oct. 29 at Miami (7:30 p.m.) and will include all but one nationally televised game.
Comcast SportsNet’s live-game coverage will again be led by four-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz and longtime analyst Phil Chenier, who are entering their 18th season together. Chris Miller will return as the courtside reporter and Wizards Insider J. Michael will again contribute to game coverage.
Comcast SportsNet will deliver comprehensive pre- and post-game news, analysis and interviews surrounding most games with “Wizards Pregame Live” and “Wizards Postgame Live.” The half-hour shows will feature Miller and Chris Miles as alternating hosts, with Ron Thompson serving as analyst. Buckhantz, Chenier and Michael will also contribute to the shows.
Extensive Wizards coverage will also be featured on the network’s news and analysis programs, including “Geico SportsNet Central” and “SportsTalk Live with Brian Mitchell.” Comprehensive written, video and interactive content will be available across the network’s online, mobile and social media platforms, highlighted by CSNwashington.com.
