MotoGP 2022 Season Opener Grand Prix of Qatar Presented Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on CNBC
STAMFORD, Conn. – March 3, 2022 – The 2022 Monster Energy Supercross season continues this Saturday from historic Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., live in primetime at 7:30 p.m. ET on CNBC and Peacock. NBC Sports Supercross analyst Ricky Carmichael, a five-time Daytona Supercross race winner, designed the course at Daytona International Speedway for the 15th consecutive year.
“It’s such an honor to be part of Daytona International Speedway -- the world center of racing,” said Carmichael. “We’ve got some obstacles, fast, rolling sand whoops and it’s going to be really spectacular.”
Eli Tomac, winner of last week’s 450SX Class race in Arlington and current points standings leader, aims for his sixth career victory at Daytona, which would break his tie with Carmichael for the most wins at the iconic track. Last weekend, Cameron McAdoo earned his first victory of the season in the 250SX Class Eastern Regional series and returns to the site of his first career Supercross win.
Tomac will be featured in a sit-down interview with Carmichael during Saturday’s race coverage.
Qualifying coverage on Saturday from Daytona gets underway at 2 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. All Supercross heats, qualifiers and live and on-demand replays of races will be available on Peacock. Click here for more details.
NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will provide live streaming coverage of Saturday’s race. An encore of the race will be presented Sunday at 9 a.m. ET on CNBC.
All 17 Supercross races, highlighted by exclusive live coverage of heats, qualifiers and main event races, will be presented across NBC, CNBC, USA Network, Peacock and NBC Sports digital platforms. The 2022 season will feature a record three live races and 13 total hours of coverage on NBC. The complete schedule can be found here.
