Bears declared RB D’Andre Swift active for Week 16 against the Packers.
Swift was questionable for Saturday’s Week 16 contest against the Packers, but as expected, the tailback will get the nod for the crucial divisional matchup. The Bears inactives for the contest will be WR Rome Odunze WR Luther Burden, LB Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB Ruben Hyppolite, QB Case Keenum and DL Jonathan Ford.

The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs reports that Bears head coach Ben Johnson listed rookie RB Kyle Monangai among the players who “impressed throughout spring action.”
The Bears drafted Monangai in the seventh round after a productive college career at Rutgers. Monangai is unproven as a pass-catcher but did establish himself as a proficient tackle-breaking rusher at the college level. If he continues to perform well, he could challenge Roschon Johnson for the No. 2 rushing role. Johnson also listed TE Joel Wilson, EDGE Dominique Robinson & LB Ruben Hyppolite as players who have impressed him thus far.

Bears selected LB Ruben Hyppolite with the No. 132 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ruben Hyppolite (5'11/236) started 46 games across five seasons in the collegiate ranks and drew poor draft grades from most NFL scouts. Nevertheless, the Bears saw enough in him to take the gamble in the fourth round. If nothing less, Hyppolite will have the ability to learn behind Tremaine Edmunds at middle linebacker in the immediate future.

Maryland three-star 2020 verbal LB commit Ruben Hyppolite plans on taking official visits to Maryland, Alabama and Penn State.
Hyppolite (6'0/225) is not ruling out the possibility of taking further officials beyond the above trio. He has been in Maryland’s corner since April, but in the interim, other programs have continued to woo him, with the Crimson Tide and Nittany Lions making nice headway on that front. The Hollywood, Florida, native ranks as Rivals’ No. 25 inside linebacker recruit for the 2020 cycle. Hyppolite plans to sign with his future collegiate program -- be it Maryland or another contender -- during the early December window.

According to ESPN recruiting analysts Tom VanHaaren and Tom Luginbill, Maryland four-star 2020 LB commit Ruben Hyppolite has increased both his size and speed over the last year-plus.
Hyppolite (6'0/225), who committed to Maryland in late April, is a new entrant in the ESPN 300 ratings thanks to his performance on the summer camp circuit. According to ESPN his weight has increased by 11 pounds in the last 14 months, and during this period he’s also managed to shave nearly two-tenths of a second off of his 40 time. Hyppolite was timed at 4.54 seconds in the 40 back in February. While Maryland still holds his verbal commitment, the four-star linebacker said earlier this month that he’s considering taking visits to Alabama and Penn State.

Maryland three-star 2020 verbal LB commit Ruben Hyppolite said that he was considering taking visits to Penn State and Alabama.
Hyppolite (6'0/225) has been pledged to Maryland since late April. While he remains firm in his commitment to the Terrapins, HC Mike Locksley is going to have his work cut out for him in holding onto this one in the face of big-time competition. In addition to Penn State and Alabama, Kentucky is a program to watch in this race. Hyppolite’s fall visit schedule will be worth keeping an eye on. Rivals ranks the Hollywood, Florida, native as the No. 25 inside linebacker prospect for the 2020 cycle.
