    Phillies released LHP Scott Moss.
Moss was removed from the Phillies’ 40-man roster back in March and has been released after making just six appearances (five starts) this season in Philadelphia’s minor league system. The 27-year-old southpaw has yet to reach the majors.

Phillies sent LHP Scott Moss outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Moss went unclaimed on waivers and will remain with the Phillies’ organization. The 27-year-old southpaw was claimed off waivers from the Guardians back in November and posted a lackluster 7.08 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 29/15 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings last year at Triple-A Columbus.

Phillies designated LHP Scott Moss for assignment.
Philadelphia had to make room for Jeurys Familia and Brand Hand on the 40-man roster and Moss was the odd man out. The southpaw posted an atrocious 7.08 ERA and 1.72 WHIP over 20 1/3 innings with Triple-A Columbus last season.

Phillies claimed LHP Scott Moss off waivers from the Guardians.
Moss was jettisoned from the Guardians’ 40-man roster last week and quickly gobbled up by the Phillies. The 27-year-old left-hander posted an underwhelming 7.08 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 29/15 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings at Triple-A Columbus last season.

Guardians designated LHP Scott Moss for assignment.
The 27-year-old southpaw is a former prospect from the Reds who was sent to Cleveland in the Trevor Bauer trade. Moss posted a 7.08 ERA this season over 20 1/3 innings in the minor leagues.

Scott Moss gave up two earned runs off three hits in his start against the White Sox on Saturday, resulting in a 7-0 loss.
Moss, who has yet to make his major league debut, posted a collective 2.96 ERA with 159 strikeouts over 130 innings in Double-A and Triple-A ball in 2019. Prior to today’s start, Moss gave up three earned runs in two innings working in relief on March 2 vs. Kansas City. The 26-year-old lefty is currently auditioning for a spot in the backend of Cleveland’s starting rotation.

Indians purchased the contract of LHP Scott Moss from Triple-A Columbus.
Cleveland acquired Moss as part of the three-team, seven-player Trevor Bauer trade back in July. The 25-year-old left-hander registered a 2.96 ERA with 159 strikeouts over 130 2/3 innings this summer between Double-A and Triple-A, and could factor into the MLB mix for the Indians in 2020 if he improves his command.

Indians acquired LHP Scott Moss from the Reds as part of a three-team, seven player-trade.
Moss may be viewed as a throw-in of sorts given the big names involved in this deal, but the 6-foot-5 left-hander is an intriguing prospect with a 3.44 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 102 innings (20 starts) this season at the Double-A level. He is already 24 years old and needs to work on his command, but the mid-90s fastball will play and he also has a decent changeup and slider.

Reds LHP prospect Scott Moss threw six no-hit innings on Monday for Double-A Chattanooga.
Moss, 24, struck out 10 and walked four. A fourth-round pick out of Florida in 2016, Moss has three solid-average pitches at his disposal, starting with a fastball that gets up to 94 mph and plays us because of his 6-foot-5 extension. He also has a quality change and slider, but he needs to throw them for strikes more often as seen in his 26 walks in 28 innings. Moss could be filthy in the bullpen, but the stuff is good enough to start if/when the control improves.
