With Juventus holding a slight 2-1 advantage after their first meeting in Turin, Real needs a win to keep the trophy hopes alive.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti understands the magnitude of the match, and said it is all on the line when the two sides face-off tomorrow evening. We need to remain calm and focused because we have a burning desire to play in another final. We’ll need to put in a performance with maximum intensity and it’s important we remain alert throughout.
It’s imperative to be balanced in all areas of the field, especially when going forward, and the midfielders and defenders must maintain stability. These are the types of games where you can’t put a foot wrong and we need to ensure a quality performance.
Our reputation is on the line against Juve and the crowd will be spectacular and will be our 12th man.”
Real will face a tough task as Juventus, who has already clinched the Serie A title, rested six starters over the weekend. Meanwhile, Madrid was forced to play all their stars as the club is still in contention for the La Liga title.
