Klinsmann has added a third goalkeeper, brining in David Bingham from the San Jose Earthquakes. The 26-year-old keeper played every minute of the Earthquakes’ season, and tied the club-record with 12 clean sheets. It is his first call-up to the national team.

It is also Brandon Vincent’s first call-up, as the 21-year-old defender is coming off of a national championship-winning season with Stanford. He was the 2015 Pac-12 Defender of the Year and a first-team All-American, as he will join fellow Stanford teammate Jordan Morris at camp.

The other two call-ups, Steve Birnbaum and Perry Kitchen, both have experience with the USMNT. Birnbaum, a defender with D.C. United, has one cap with the national team, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 loss to Chile last January. Kitchen, who played with Birnbaum at D.C. United last season but is currently unattached, has two caps for the USMNT.

An exciting duo of young talent dropped out of the camp due to injury in Fatai Alashe and Marc Pelosi, both from the San Jose Earthquakes. Alashe was a finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year last season, while Pelosi joined San Jose from the Liverpool academy halfway through the summer.
