After the 2015/16 Premier League season, everyone, Eden Hazard included, wanted to quickly forget the Belgian’s nightmare of a campaign.

The 25-year-old has bounced back in a big way though, giving Chelsea a more solid option in the attack under Antonio Conte. Hazard has already notched two goals for the Blues in 2016, after having only totaled four for the preceding season.

Typically employed as a left winger, Hazard told the Daily Mail that he would prefer to play a more central role as a No. 10.
“I like to play as a No 10,” Hazard said. “I think I have more freedom offensively. For Belgium, we have full backs who run hard and create a lot of space, which is good and I like to play there.

“I don’t know if I will play there at Chelsea. You need to ask the manager! I play on the left hand side and I try to do the best I can.”

Hazard is coming off of an impressive international break with his Red Devils, where the dynamic winger netted goals against Bosnia and Gibraltar in a pair of dominating Belgium victories.

The attacker vowed to bring his strong form back to Chelsea regardless of which position Conte evaluates him at.

“I think I have more freedom offensively,” Hazard said. “For Belgium, we have full-backs who run hard and create a lot of space, which is good and I like to play there.

“I did well in the past as a left winger, though, and for now I am trying to get back to that best again.”
