Paris Saint-Germain 2-2 Nice

PSG don’t look like wrapping up the Ligue 1 title in March this season, as the four-time defending French champions find themselves four points back of leaders Nice, with whom they came from behind to draw 2-2 on Sunday, just shy of the season’s halfway mark.

Wylan Cyprien and Alassane Plea put the visitors 2-0 at halftime, but Edinson Cavani scored twice in the second half to pull PSG back onto level terms just 15 minutes into the second half. The Parisians couldn’t find a winner, though, despite out-shooting Nice by a margin of 22-5 (10-3 in shots on target) and holding 60 percent of the game’s possession.

Bordeaux 0-4 Monaco

While the first- and third-place sides were busy dropping points this weekend, second-place ran rampant over Bordeaux, imporving their goal differential to an otherworldly +37 after just 17 games in the process. Djibril Sidibe and Radamel Falcao put the visitors 2-0 up with goals two minutes apart inside the game’s first four minutes.

Falcao bagged his brace on 50 minutes, and completed his hat trick, from the penalty spot, four minutes after the hour mark, brining his tally to 10 league goals on the season (to go with two more in the UEFA Champions League). Now just a point back of Nice,
