Jermaine Jones will indeed start at center back when the USMNT faces off against Honduras at 8pm ET tonight.
Jones hinted at the new position on Monday, and it’s a move that could not only get him, Michael Bradley and Mix Diskerud on the field together but extend Jones’ career (if it works).

Matt Besler makes it a fresh pair of center backs from Friday’s 1-1 draw with Ecuador, while Graham Zusi and Michael Bradley are new in the midfield.
