There’s good and bad news on the Liverpool injury front.
Brendan Rodgers gave a press conference ahead of his club’s Wednesday match with Burnley, and the Reds manager had a tough nugget on young star Jordon Ibe but encouraging news on old legend Steven Gerrard.

The captain has been out since Feb. 10, while Ibe was hurt in last week’s Europa League dismissal by Besiktas.
From LiverpoolFC.com:“Jordon Ibe will probably be out for a few weeks,” the manager told reporters during his pre-match press conference from Melwood.
“He twisted his knee, laterally on the outside, in Turkey and had to come off towards the end. He has had a scan on that. It is not too serious but it’s probably just going to mean him out for a few weeks. We’ll probably have him back towards the end of March.”
... (On Gerrard):
“He’s coming along very well. He is building up strength in his hamstring and he has been outside, so he is working very hard. Hopefully in the very near future, he’ll be back and available.”
Ibe has been lightning in a bottle over the past month or so for Liverpool, while Gerrard’s return will give the Reds better depth in the middle of the pitch. Either way, the red-hot club’s present is based more on names like Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.
