Barcelona is set to insure its attack while strengthening its already stingy back line.

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu says the club is close to cementing megastar Neymar at Camp Nou through 2021, and the BBC reports that the club has agreed to buy French international center back Samuel Umtiti.

Neymar has been the subject of transfer rumors, often linked with big money Manchester United.

The 24-year-old upped his goal total in La Liga to a season-best 24, though his overall production sank to 31 goals in 49 goals. That will happen when you fail to replicate the magical scoring rate of 10 goals in 12 UEFA Champions League game from 2014-15.

Umtiti will reportedly bring in $27 million for Lyon when the defender gets back from EURO 2016. The 22-year-old has averaged 40 appearances per season over the past three years.

According to advanced statistics site Squawka, Umtiti performed better than any non-PSG Ligue 1 player last season on a per-match basis (minimum 20 appearances).
