Two teams with relatively big goals left to accomplish meet Monday at the Emirates, when Garry Monk’s Swansea City visits Arsenal on NBCSN (Watch live at 3 p.m. ET and online via Live Extra).

Arsenal still has the inside track to finish second in the Premier League, and will clinch a Top Four berth with a single point against Swansea City. The Gunners are three points behind Manchester City for second, but have played two less matches.

Swansea City can take advantage of its form and current Spurs/Saints struggles to pull within two points of sixth place with a win over the Gunners.

What they’re saying

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on the Gunners’ 2016 title goals: “It’s not necessarily the type of game you play, it is how well you play it. For example, you don’t question Barcelona about the way they play football. But when they started this way you questioned ‘are they not too naïve?’ But when they win you don’t question it of course. You cannot play 38 games in the same convincing style. You need to have a balance in your team so that if you are not at level of fluency you can still win the game. Then most of the time it is the individual talent that prevails.

Swansea’s Monk admires the Gunners: “I love the way they play. They’re very fluent and creative and a very strong outfit. They’ve always been a top team, and I think they will be a real force in the next couple of seasons with the talent they have. They are finishing the season strong, and if they started the season as well as they are finishing, they would probably be a little closer to Chelsea. They are one of the power houses of the league, so it will be a tough test but we will enjoy it.”

Prediction

Attractive, attacking football. Arsenal still has the edge in class, but wouldn’t be surprised to see a wide-open goal fest. We’ll say Swans stay competitive and earn a 2-2 draw.
