Sunday’s Premier League fixtures are neither short on drama nor import, as a pair of regional derbies dot the landscape of England’s top-flight.

This London Derby could mean more to the hosts than the visitors, as Chelsea has breathing room in its quest for a Premier League title and QPR is trying to get its head above water in the race for top flight safety.

Chelsea has a four-point lead on Arsenal in the race for the PL crown, but the Blues enter the day having played two less matches than their closest rivals. And their hosts at Loftus Road enter the day closer to the bottom of the table than 17th place, as Leicester City’s win has the bottom three at 26, 26 and 25 points.

A win would lift the R’s past Hull and Sunderland, into 16th place on the table. But few are counting on that in this match-up of a London power versus a capital city struggler.

And here’s another juicy one! The Manchester Derby will not only shape the mood of the city, it’ll align the top four for the stretch run. United enters the day ahead of its “noisy neighbors” by a single point, though at least slumping City can claim the last four matches in the rivalry.

The latest was a 1-0 win at the Etihad Stadium in December, and City will be more than happy to seal all six points available from this season’s derby matches. It’s a tall task; the Red Devils have won five straight at Old Trafford, and City’s lost three-straight away from home.
