Radamel Falcao may be on his way out of Manchester.

Signed to a season-long loan over the summer, the former Monaco striker has been extremely disappointing for United this year. Now, reports out of France are stating that Falcao will be back at his parent club next season.

French newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that Manchester United has told Monaco that they have no plans to buy Falcao when his loan deal ends after the season.

If United wanted to buy Falcao and extend his career in Manchester, the club would have to pay Monaco a transfer fee of nearly $70 million.

Falcao, who had four consecutive seasons scoring 30+ goals for his club from 2010-2013, has only tallied four times in 20 appearances for United, and at one point dropped in the pecking order behind 19-year-old James Wilson.

The French report states United officially decided not to buy Falcao after his performance in the FA Cup against League One side Preston North End. The Colombian striker struggled against the third-tier opposition, and was subbed off after an hour with United down 1-0. Ashley Young replaced Falcao and sparked a 3-1 comeback win for the Red Devils.

With Robin van Persie out injured, Falcao will likely get the start alongside Wayne Rooney for Manchester United’s clash against Newcastle today. With just ten games left in the Premier League, Falcao will have to put in some absolutely brilliant performances to get Manchester executives to even think about making his move to England permanent.
